From January to June 2010, there were 153 BOGs incidents reported by BOGs signatories. The trend increased from 6 incidents in January, to 17 in February to 22 in March. Though we see a slight decrease to 17 incidents in April, the number of reported extortion/donation demands increased from 13 in March to 15 in April as a result of a UCPN-M donation drive at that time. 58 percent (89 out of 153) of the incidents were reported as Program interference the majority of which can be attributed to the UCPN-M six day General Strike in May. Separate maps on reported UCPNM donation demands and VDC Secretary incidents during
this reporting period can be found on the NIP.
