Nepal: Incidents Affecting Operational Space (1 to 31 May 2010)

UCPN-M imposed a Nationwide General Strike across the country from 02 of May to 07 May. The Indefinite strike brought Humanitarian and Development operation in all part of the country to a halt. The majority of BOGs Signatories either suspended field programs, operated with essential staffs only or temporarily closed their offices. As a result, 90%(78 out of 86) of the incident are program interference by UCPN-M as reported by BOGs signatories.
