n August 18th the Koshi River broke through an eastern retaining wall roughly 10 Km north of the East West Highway. The waters have flooded significant portions of the Dharampur VDCs KoshiSunsari District: following of Tappu Wildlife Reserve Dharampur Shreeharipur, Shreepurjavdi, Lokahi, Kusahapaschim. Pipra (Purba)VDCs are also affected, but to a lesser extent. The Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve East West Kanchanpur is currently impassable due to Highway Embankment flood waters at the Jagatpur of Koshi Tapu National
entrance Park and the landline and mobile phone services are working intermittently in the affected areas.
