Nepal- Incidents Affecting Operational Space, March 2010

In March 2010, 17 of 22(total) reported incident affecting operational space have been received from Eastern Development Region. A UN Office was closed in Rautahat District for one month due to repeated donation threats from JTMM-S. Specific reports related to extortion/ donation demands by UCPN-Maoist have continued to increase in different part of the country as reported by BOGs signatories. Reported UCPNM donation demands increased from 4 in January, 5 in February , to 8 in March.
