PDF File Size: 136 KB | Download
A short film “Towards a sustainable Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha” was launched on the occasion of Buddha Jayanti on 14 May 2014 in Lumbini, a UNESCO World Heritage Property in Nepal since 1997. The extraordinary journey of Lord Buddha, who was born as Prince Siddhartha Gautama in the sacred garden of Lumbini, continues to move and inspire many around the world transcending borders, religions, ethnicity, cultures and status, which was evident from the multitude of visitors and pilgrims who went to Lumbini to celebrate his birthday and to pay tribute to his birthplace despite the sweltering heat.
