Incidents:
During the first six months of 2010, two VDC secretaries were killed (Sitapur VDC in Banke, and Babarjung VDC in Sarlahi). In separate incidents in Dhanusha, a DDC a DOC staff member was killed and a child was killed during an attempt on the life of VDC secretaries from Bara and a DDC staff from Humla were abducted. IEDS damaged VDC Offices in Mohammadpur VDC of Rautahat and Hasposa VDC of Sunsari. Similarly, Ieds were exploded at the homes of DDC?VDC satff in Guleria of Bardiya, Laxminia VDC of rautahat, and Gemi VDC of Nawalparasi. While Naubise VDC of Dhading, Diktel HQ of Khotang, DDC office located at Birjng in Parsa, aand at residence if Sirse VDC Secretary of Udaypur district were targeted but the IEDs were later defused.
