The Nepal Climate Change Support Programme (NCCSP) contributes to build the capacity of vulnerable communities to adopt to negative effects of climate change. There have been noticeable positive change in the lives and livelihoods of projects beneficiaries. Climate-resilient physical infrastructure, such as gabion walls, spurs and raised water pumps have decreased vulnerability to hazards and to provided protection for personal and valuable assets. Increased agriculture productivity and diversification of livelihood increased income, access to technology and consumption. There have been visible improvements in nutrition, health and hygiene. Community members have developed confidence and sense of security due to their increased knowledge on climate change, vulnerability and risk reduction and acquired skills to adapt to climate change effects.
