The Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management (CDRMP) was approved by the Government of Nepal (GoN) in 2011 and is being implemented by UNDP. It aims to build government capacity for the effective implementation of National Strategy for Disaster Risk Management (NSDRM) through an integrated and comprehensive approach. UNDP, as the co-leader of Nepal Risk Reduction Consortium Flagship 5 (NRRC F5), supported by the GoN in main streaming Disaster and Climate Risk Management (D/CRM) into legal and policy frameworks as described in the following sections. In 2014 , the significant achievement of the programmes include: (i) main streaming Disaster and Climate Risk Management into legal and policy frameworks (ii) implementing National Building Codes (NBC) and developing Risk Sensitive Land Use Plan (RLSUP) of Kathmandu valley.
