Food Security, Livelihood and Early Recovery Joint Assessment (Sept-Oct 2015)
PDF File Size: 974 KB | Download
Since the two large-scale earthquakes hit Nepal on 25 April and 12 May 2015 the humanitarian response continues and is expected to transition into the recovery phase at the end of September. As such, the Food Security and Early Recovery Clusters are collaborating on a joint needs assessment that serves to inform key elements of the recovery/ reconstruction/ development phase in the aftermath of the earthquakes. This assessment is an opportunity for partners to build a common baseline for recovery and reconstruction programs. As such, the assessment process is supported by key ministries including Ministry of Agricultural Development (MoAD), Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD) and National Planning Commission (NPC), to promote national ownership of the results.
