WFP, as co-leader of the Emergency Telecommunication Cluster (ETC), conducted an assessment of the security telecommunication systems and services in Nepal. The objective of the mission was to assess the needs, identify operational “gaps” and response capacity in the provision of security telecommunication services, and to make recommendations to the RC/UNCT on how these gaps can be filled in order to guarantee the effective and efficient delivery of security telecommunication services to the humanitarian community in Nepal.
