The United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (2005 - 2014) was proclaimed by the General Assembly at its fifty-seventh session, in 2002. In accordance with General Assembly resolutions 65/163 and 69/211, the present document provides a review of the implementation of the Decade and an account of the World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development organized in 2014 in Japan. The document is based on consultations with a wide range of stakeholders, including Governments, civil society organizations and United Nations agencies.
