Highlights:
1. Medical teams are working at the airport and they are carrying out their function smoothly. So far no suspect cases have been identified.
2. The Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) and Avian Influenza Control Project (AICP) are coordinating all ongoing activities around the clock.
3. Surveillance activities at Early Warning and Response System (EWARS) sites are going on and reporting daily. The Control Room established at EDCD is now working around the clock.
4. The EDCD has provided the Infectious Disease Hospital staff with training.
5. EDCD, AICP and the National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL) have sent the requested information on laboratory logistics/lab diagnostic kits to the US Centre for Disease Control in Atlanta.
