The Committee considered the combined fourth and fifth report of Nepal (CEDAW/C/NPL/5) at its 989th and 990th meetings, on 20 July 2011 (see CEDAW/C/SR.989 and 990). The Committee’s list of issues and questions is contained in CEDAW/C/NPL/Q/4-5 and the responses of Nepal are contained in CEDAW/C/NPL/Q/4-5/Add.1.The Committee expresses its appreciation to the State party for its combined fourth and fifth periodic report. The report generally followed the Committee’s guidelines for the preparation of reports, with references to the previous concluding observations.
