News Release: OHCHR Saddened by Death of Nanda Prasad Adhikari

KATHMANDU (23 September 2014) - The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights is deeply saddened by the death of Nanda Prasad Adhikari, father of Krishna Prasad Adhikari. Nanda Prasad Adhikari had been on hunger strike with his wife Ganga Maya for the past 11 months to protest his son’s killing, allegedly by the Maoists in 2004.
