Over the last 70 years, FAO has made an important contribution towards helping the millions of hungry people all over the world. Still, according to the most recent trends, around 800 million people go to bed hungry. If we adopt a “business as usual” approach, by 2030, we would still have more than 650 million people suffering from hunger. Eliminating chronic undernourishment is key to achieving Goal 2 of the SDGs.
