Deadline Extended for ‘Women’s Literacy’ Open Photography Contest!

The deadline of the Women’s Literacy’ Open Photography Contest organized by UNESCO on the occasion of International Literacy Day has been extended to 8 September 2015. Recognizing that powerful images can produce impact to affect social change, the objective of the contest is to raise awareness on the complex but crucial issue of women’s literacy in Nepal, by assembling different perceptions through the lens of talented Nepalese photographers.Photographs must be in digital format. Only online entries will be eligible. All digital files must be 5 megabytes or smaller, must be in JPEG or .jpg format, and must be at least 1,600 pixels wide (if a horizontal image) or 1,600 pixels tall (if a vertical image) Photographs will be judged by the UNESCO panel and the decision will be based on the relevance to the theme and creativity.
