Improving Humanitarian Access: Managed by the World Food Programme, the United Nations Humanitarian Air Service (UNHAS) seeks to provide the entire humanitarian community with timely access to hard-to-reach locations and to deliver urgent humanitarian supplies, thus facilitating the implementation and monitoring of life-saving projects. Using a fleet of passenger and cargo helicopters, UNHAS Nepal started its service delivery on 28 April 2015. So far, UNHAS has transported more than 1,900 passengers and over 958 mt of cargo to 119 locations for 101 organizations.
