Dr Somsak Pipoppinyo, FOA Representative, visited Ginger Competitiveness Project sites in
the districts of Jhapa, Ilam and Panchthar. He was accompanied by Assistant FOA Representative Dr Binod Saha, Programme Officer Arjun Singh Thapa, FAO Nepal and Madhusudan Singh Basnyat, Program Director of Directorate of Agriculture Engineering, Ministry of Agricultural Development. Other personnel from the Government of Nepal and the FAO Representation were also included in the visiting team. On 23 March 2015, the team visited the ginger washing facilities construction site at Duwagadhi-9 of Jhapa district located between Dhikure and Naradduba streams about a kilometer south of the East-West Highway.
