Highlights:
1.In Gorkha, General Chhetris and Dalits tend to be the most positive groups, especially towards government support. However, Gurungs and Janajatis are much more positive towards NGOs than other groups (they are the majority groups).
2. Generally, the youngest age ground (15-24) is the most positive across all questions. And women have a tendency to be more positive than men in Gorkha.
3. No group feels very positive about being hear, which reflects the lowest levels of positive response. Of all ethnic groups on this, the Dalits and the Brahmins are the most negative.
4. Of the 54% of people in Gorkha who responded that their main problems were not being addressed, the top problems they identified were: long-term shelter (45),clean water and sanitation (16) and financial support (13).
5. Of the 40% of people who responded that they were not satisfied with government services, the main things they wanted from government included: cash for work (85%) and building materials (73%).
6. Of the 39% of people who did not feel they have the information they need to get
relief and support, the top information needs were: news about government decisions (51%) and how to register for support (46%).
