The widespread loss of food stocks, potential loss in crop productivity and loss of livestock as well as small scale enterprises will likely cause a severe income shock for women who rely on this sector. An increase in food insecurity may lead to a bigger impact on multidimensional poverty.Nutrition supplements should be provided to pregnant women to reduce malnutrition and anaemia, while nutrition programmes for pregnant women and nursing mothers are also essential.
