Key highlights:
1. A total of 16 people lost their life to the recent monsoon flood and landslides in the western Nepal since 16 June 2013;
2. Altogether 23 people reported missing in different districts; assessment are ongoing, however, estimates suggest approximately 875 families displaced;
3. A massive flood in Mahakali River swept away more than 50 houses and huts including 13 government offices and four temples.
4. On 18 June 2013, Central Natural Disaster Relief Committee (CNDRC) meeting decided for the release of NPR 5000,000 to Darchula and Kanchanpur DDRC each for the immediate relief of the affected people.
