An UNDAC team composed of 3 members took a mission to Gorkha district of Western Region on 30 April-03 May 2015. This district was selected based on the information available after discussions with WFP and at the HCT meeting. It was believed that this could be a potential hub for coordination and distribution of humanitarian assistance. Gorkha district has 66 VDCs and 1 Municipality. The team was able to reach 1 VDC by car. Therefore it should be noted that the information available at this report is mostly from the local officials and NGO’s met while some are based on assessments.
