PDF File Size: 20 KB | Download
Honourable Deputy Prime Minister, Peace and Reconstruction Minister, Honourable heads of Constitutional Bodies, honourable members of Constitutional Assembly, Mr. Daman Nath dhungana, excellencies, distinguished guests, secretaries and officials of the government of Nepal, ladies and gentlemen.
Let me warmly congratulate the Government of Nepal, and in particular the Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction, on deciding to celebrate for the first time the International Day of Peace.
The election of a newly-inclusive Constituent Assembly, with nearly one-third women members, has been a landmark in this peace process, but we all know that it was not the end of the process.
