"I am very pleased to welcome you here today, to launch Naya Adhyaya (A New Chapter), a
joint United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA) and United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) street theatre project on women and the peace process performed by
Sarwanam Theatre. I am especially happy that the national launch of Naya Adhyaya is taking place in Dhangadhi: rural communities in the regions throughout Nepal were hit the hardest during the 10-year conflict, and there is a particular challenge ahead in building peace and promoting recovery in those areas. The full involvement of women in rural communities, villages and towns in the Far-Western region together with others across the country will be vital in meeting that challenge and ensuring lasting peace in Nepal..."
