An IFAD joint review mission was conducted jointly with the staff and managers of HVAP including staff from the Ministry of Agriculture Development (MOAD), the ago-enterprise centre (ACE) of the federation of Nepalese chambers of commerce and industry (FNCCI) and SNV (the Netherlands Development organization). The mission had planned to visit field activities in Jumla district as well as the PMU office in surkhet. However, due to widespread civil unrest in the run-up to the constitutional assembly deadline, UNDSS suspended travel outside of Kathmandu. As such the mission team met project partner business in Kathmandu and worked with a majority of the PMU staff who relocated from surkhet to Kathmandu to work with the mission. A warp-up meeting was held with the project steering committee on 1 June ,chaired by the secretary MOAD.
