Climate Risk Management (CRM)
PDF File Size: 406 KB | Download
Nepal is one of the most disaster-affected countries in the world and among the top ten countries that are most affected by climate-related hazards. As such, Climate Risk Management (CRM) is a challenge that requires a multi-faceted approach to be successful, protecting both the lives and livelihoods of the people impacted by climate change induced
disaster. The UNDP Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management Programme (CDRMP) works closely with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Department of Soil Conservation and Watershed Management, Department of Water Induced Disaster Prevention, Nepal Academy of Science and Technology, and District and Village Development
Committees to provide communities with tools to reduce the effect of climate change induced disasters.
