Approximately 42,807 Nepalese (7,572 households [HH]) were affected by the Koshi floods in
Sunsari and Saptai Districts on 18 August 2008, in addition to an estimated 11,000 Indian nationals (2,328HH), according to the Government of Nepal’s (GoN) Detailed Damage Assessment/verification process. A total 1376 HHs of landless are affected from flood as determined by the verification process.
