A matrix was devised by the coordination team so as to be able to determine which proposals are suitable and those which do not match the cluster approach. We have been allocated USD50million under the Flash Appeal and we have about USD90 million in proposals. In speaking with UN – we need to pare down to half as New York will not increase overall Flash budget – This has since been increased to USD77million and relaunched as such. There will definitely be a revision within three to four weeks.
A good number of partners are working with local CSOs – however, there are still a number of INGOs who have not identified local implementing partners and this is encouraged. Chamber of Commerce (not for profit side), Lumanti, and one other national agency partner
submissions.
