Shelter Cluster Nepal: Contingency Plan for the Coordination of Shelter Preparedness and Response in Nepal

The objective of the Shelter Cluster is to support the Government of Nepal to meet the immediate shelter needs of a population affected by disaster. This contingency plan details preparedness and response actions to enable the shelter cluster to adequately and effectively meet the shelter needs of a population affected by the proposed disaster
scenarios. The primary purpose of this contingency plan is to ensure that appropriate and adequate arrangements are made in advance to respond in a timely, effective and appropriate manner to the needs of affected populations. The Plan also aims at improving coordination with, and support to, the Government of Nepal in dealing with major disasters.
