Reference: Dr. Lwin, Kyaw U. (1978). Leprosy Control, Nepal - Assignment Report (WHO Project: NEP BVD 001), WHO. URL-http://apps.who.int/iris/ This project formulation serves as a basic document for all anti-leprosy activities carried out in the whole country during the planned period (1975-76 to 1979-80). The plan describes in detail the goals and objectives as well as the methodology and the geographic areas to be covered by the project. The planned activities are being carried out by two different services working in close cooperation, the Basic Health Service (BHS) and the Leprosy Control Project. First priority has been given to the survey of five districts where the Basic Health Services have been fully integrated namely, Parsa, Rautahat, Siraha, Saptari and Kaski districts. Second priority has been given to 21 other districts where all proposed health posts have been established. This makes a total of 26 districts.
