URL-http://apps.who.int/iris/ The term of reference of the assignment were; To assess the current situation with regard to the nature of the sources of ionizing radiation and their storage, and the risk to health and allied personnel in the use of such sources; To advise on and assist in the safe handling, storage and disposal of radioactive material; To recommend measures for proper protection against ionizing radiation in radiology, radiotherapy and nuclear medicine, and To monitor radiological installations and also advise on the calibration of equipment.
