The United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) welcomes the formation of the High Level Political Mechanism (HLPM), a forum dedicated to multi-party dialogue on peace process-related issues. The United Nations Security Council in its resolution 1879 (July 2009) encouraged renewed and sustained efforts to create a unified approach among the political parties, including through such a mechanism.
