UNMIN and the United Nations Country Team welcome the re-launching on 11 October by the Government of Nepal and the Unified Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (UCPN-M) of the discharge and rehabilitation process for the 4,008 Maoist army personnel, who were identified as minors or late recruits during the verification process in 2007. This is a significant landmark for Nepal’s peace process.
