Districts in the Far West, Mid West and Western regions in Nepal have reported flash floods and landslides.The initial responses received by EDCD from the District Health Officers (DHO) and District Public Health Officers (DPHO) indicate that most Rapid Response Teams (RRTs) in the districts have been mobilized, although some areas in Bank still remain inaccessible. There has also been no communication with Darchula districts’ RRT until now and request has been made to the Regional Health Directorate in the neighboring district (Doti) to find more information.According to the reports received by the DHOs, EDCD requested WHO to assist in procuring medicines for the affected victims. They have requested drugs for 1000 people and WHO is in the process of procuring the drugs.the WHO Immunization and Preventable Disease surveillance medic a officer in Bank district, to find out any further information about disease surveillance, and particularly about any cholera cases.
