The asia pacific forum of national human rights institutions established in 1996, is the leading regional member-based human rights organization in the asia Pacific.Nepal’s NHRI is part of a series of profiles which provide information about the core features and functions of each of the APF’s member institutions.Nepal was admitted as a Full Member of the APF in 2000. Nepal became a member of
the international coordinating committee of national human rights institutions in 2001.the human rights commission act 2012 provides the NHRC with the capacity to establish formal relationships with civil society.the NHRC has developed formal relationships with civil society that result in engagement via regular or institutionalized meetings and engagement with CSO on thematic issues and in conducting inquiries.
