NHRC eBulletin is the 2nd issue of volume 6th of NHRC E-Bulletin. The NHRC is Nepal’s National Human Rights Institution with constitutional mandate to work for the promotion and protection of human rights. This bulletin provides an update on the NHRC activities. An 18- member exhumation team including the nation land international experts headed by the Commissioner Gauri Pradhan of NHRC has proceeded to Janakpur to conduct exhumation . The work is now underway and as soon as the remains of the deceased are unearthed, investigation process will continue its course. As per the complaint lodged at the Commission with regard to the disappearance of Sanjeev Kumar Karn (age 25), Durgesh Laav (age 23), Jitendra Jha (age 23), Pramod Narayn Mandal (age 19) and Shailemdra Yadav (age 18) who were said to have been killed and buried by the security forces at the bank of Kamala river in the Godar VDC of Dhanusha district in October 2003 AD, the decision was drawn on August 12, 2010 to exhume the viscera of the corpses
