The Global Environment Facility Small Grants Programme of the United Nations Development Programme(UNDP) in Nepal invites project proposals from local NGOs and Community Based Organizations(CBOs) for the Community Development and Knowledge Management for the Satoyama Initiative(COMDEKS) in West Makawanpur.
UNDP globally launched the 2-year project COMDEKS in partnership with the Ministry of the Environment of Japan (MOEJ), the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity(SCBD), and the United Nations University(UNU), to promote sound socio-ecological production landscapes, as part of UNDP’s broader support for the Satoyama Initiative which was officially adopted as part of sustainable development in the Biodiversity Convention at the COP10 in October 2010. Interested institutions may visit the following website: www.sgp.org.np or contact the GEF/SGP Oce at the following address to obtain COMDEKS Country Programme Strategy for the preparation of proposal. Interested institutions are requested to submit a hardcopy of their proposal as well as an electronic version(CD/diskette or email attachment in MS Word readable by XP Professional) not later than 19 November 2012. Mention clearly in the proposal the postal and email address and the daytime contact telephone number/s of the person-in-charge.
