UN Mourns Death of Friends and Colleagues in Helicopter Crash
|
The UN System in Nepal expresses deep sorrow at the deaths of the passengers of the helicopter, which included among others, Minister of State for Forest and Soil Conservation, Senior Nepali government officials and conservationists, Finish Charge Affairs, USAID and WWF officials, journalists, representative and offers its sincere condolences to the bereaved families. The tragic death of our friends and colleagues who in their mission to help the development of Nepal put their lives at risk.UN Resident Coordinator, Matthew Kahane. It is a terrible loss for the country and the international community.The opportunity to praise the remarkable conservation work that is being carried out throughout Nepal by international organizations such as WWF which reach out to the most isolated population in the country bringing an opportunity to improve their daily lives.
