As part of OHCHR- Nepal’s ongoing capacity building activities, Richard Bennett, Representative of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, on Tuesday handed over resource materials to Mr. Krishna Mani Bhandary, Librarian of the Tribhuvan University Central Library (TUCL). In a ceremony at TUCL premises, the Representative handed over more than 100 books on human rights, OHCHR publications, including human rights fact-sheets, manuals, guidelines, informative brochures and promotional audio-visual materials, and reports published by OHCHR- Nepal. The handover ceremony was followed by a training session for Library officials on fundamentals of human rights, OHCHR-Nepal’s mandate and an introduction to on-line resources on human rights, including the OHCHR website.
