Declaration Of Joint Principles Of Workforce Diverstity

Whereas the United Nations (herein after referred to as "the UN") in general and the UN Country Team of Nepal (hereinafter referred to as "the Nepal UNCT") in particular are committed to workforce diversity and inclusion. Whereas this commitment of the Nepal UNCT is in line with general principle of non-discrimination based on gender, caste, ethnicity, language, or religion, as well as in line with Nepal's Interim Constitution. Therefore, the signatories to this Declaration have agreed to jointly and individually take all necessary and appropriate steps to work toward improving access by male and female qualified candidates from the widest range of backgrounds, in particular from historically excluded groups and regions, to professional opportunities within the UN system in general and within their individual organizations specifically.
