Join UN STATEMENT On The Occasion Of International Women's Day, 8 MARCH, 2013
PDF File Size: 41 KB | Download
Today, on the occasion of International Women's day, we take a moment to remember the millions of women and girls who each year experience physical, sexual, economic and emotional violence, against their person. This is despite the numerous global and national commitments to end such violence. Following public outrage at tragic incidents of violence against women in India, Nepal and other parts of the world, there is a growing global realization that enough is enough. In Nepal too, civil society has asserted its voice over the past weeks and left no doubt it:it is time to take action.
