NEPAL-Review Of Progress Made On UNGASS Goals By Nepal

The UNGASS goals aim at,establishing legislative mechanisms to comply strictly with Article 12 of the UN Convention, 1988;Establishing or improving mechanisms for monitoring trade in precursors; Designing and establishing effective and flexible mechanisms for collection of data on precursor chemicals; Designing and strengthening cooperation with chemical trade and industry; Establishing procedures for multilateral exchange and sharing of information on individual transactions and for dissemination of information on the ways and methods adopted by criminal groups for diversion and trafficking; and applying monitoring measures to prevent the diversion from licit channels to illicit traffic of substances included in the special surveillance list.
