UN Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights Kyung-wha Kang visited Nepalgunj Thursday as part of her five-day trip to Nepal to see firsthand the activities of OHCHRNepal,
the largest of the organization’s field presences in the world, and to assess the human rights situation in the country.
The Deputy High Commissioner met with civil society organisations, lawyers and representatives of the Nepal Police in Nepalgunj regarding issues of gender and
discrimination, the focus of her visit to the Mid Western Region.
