Independent Evaluation - United Nations Development Assistance Framework for Nepal
|
The United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) provides a collective, coherent and integrated United Nations System response to national priorities and needs within the framework of the Millennium Development Goals and the commitments, goals and targets of the Millennium Declaration, international conferences, summits, conventions and human rights instruments of the UN. The UNDAF for Nepal covers a three-year period from January 2008 to December 2010, which is aligned with Nepal's national planning cycle that also covers a three-year period from July 2007 to June 2010. The UNCT in Nepal undertook to support and strengthen Government's strategies in the context of the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness and national ownership, while also recognizing that Peace and Development for an inclusive society were at the core of the country's development.
