Holocaust 2020
UN Nepal in collaboration with the German Embassy, Israel Embassy and EU conducted the educational outreach program for the International Holocaust Remembrance Day in the government schools in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. In a connection of the program, UN is planning to work with youth volunteers from different educational institution to conduct educational outreach.
A press conference was held on 27 January, 2020 which is also the International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. United Nations Resident Coordinator Ms.Valerie Julliand, German Ambassador for Nepal H.E.Roland Schafer, Israel Ambassador for Nepal H.E.Benny Omer and Representative of European Union were present in the panel. The result and review of the educational outreach was shared to the media and acknowledgement was provided to the youth volunteers.
