United Nations Nepal Information Platform Web Site Re-development Strategy Report.
PDF File Size: 612 KB | Download
As the United Nation’s efforts in Nepal transition from a humanitarian focus to one of development and peace building, the need for communication and cooperation among UN agencies has never been greater. Too many agencies unnecessarily duplicate communications tasks and systems, inevitably leading to considerable waste in terms of human resources, money and misused capacities. Within the collaborative framework of the One UN policy, this report aims to improve the efficiency of Nepal’s United Nations Country Team under the leadership of its Resident Coordinator (RC). In doing so, it will also focus on the specific goals developed under the United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF).
In addition to the communication, coordination and resource tool set offered through the NIP, the site will also provide extensive public awareness for the United Nations in Nepal. To that end, we propose the development of a robust online media center where the press and public can learn about all UN activities in Nepal.
