Changing Climate, Changing life - a story of Laxmi Sunar
Nepal has been hard hit by climate change and rural farmers are the worst affected. Many of them cope by reducing their food intake, borrowing money at high interest rates, and migrating.

Laxmi’s husband migrated abroad four years ago in search of other work. Laxmi is responsible for their farm, livestock and young daughter.

Her husband took out a loan before leaving and most of the money he sends goes towards paying that debt.

Laxmi tells in the video how she copes with her life and her experience joining an FAO-supported project which is designed to help farmers adapt to the impact of climate change and adopt more sustainable methods.
