FAO is working to improve food security and livelihoods in Asia and the Pacifics. Extreme weather events take their greatest toll on the most vulnerable groups. FAO and the Musahar people are working together to become more resilient to these events. Most are landless agricultural labourers and live below the poverty line. Extreme weather are affecting their livelihoods. FAO is trying to improve the lives of these people by providing technical knowledge on livestock rearing. FAO formed a farmers' group of 27 members in the village and provided them with goats and cattles and 25 sessions through FAO farmer field school.
