Abstract:  
"Established pursuant to Security Council resolution 1612, the Security Council Working Group on children and armed conflict has a mandate to review reports of the UN Secretary-General and other pertinent information concerning grave violations against children in armed conflict around
the world, and make recommendations to Governments and other parties to conflict with regard to such violations. Chief among these is the recruitment and use of children as soldiers." - Claude Heller
