The NCC will collect the VDC weekly/monthly statistics and share compiled monthly/district with CHD. The CHD in partnership UNICEF are developing a concept note/proposal for a “Child Nutrition Week” campaign tentatively planned for the second week of June. UNICEF partners (TSS, UWN, YWN, SDPC, & NTAG) who are District Lead Support Agencies (DLSA) have established 20 OTPs and started MNP distribution in 7 districts. UNICEF has finalised delivery of supplies in the 12 most affected districts including RUTF, MNP, and equipment. UNICEF in partnership with CHD are developing a proposal for a “Child Nutrition Week” targeting a total of 22 districts including the 14 earthquake affected districts. The proposed package of intervention will include; Screening and referral, MNP, IYCF counselling, Vit A, deworming, and IFA for PLW. The full package will be offered in the 14 districts and reduced package for the other 7 districts. Cluster members requested clarification on several issues on the proposed “Child Nutrition Week” including timing for Vit A (considering Vit A campaign just before the EQ), MNP protocols and safety issues, monitoring, microplanning etc WFP/ACF requested for closely collaboration to ensure MNP programming is well coordinated with Plumpydoz and BP5 distributions.
